OUR STARTING POINT

A living Cueca, growing in Europe

Chilean Cueca brings together music, song and dance. It travels with the people who practise it and takes new forms wherever they go. In Europe, it grows through the experiences of those who listen, dance and share it.

cueca.eu is a place to study, practise and share Cueca. We learn from the people who keep it alive and explore new ways to make it our own, with respect for its history.

Cueca puts down roots in Europe every time we come together to listen, play and dance.

TRINO COLECTIVO

Music that brings us together

Trino Colectivo shares Chilean Cueca through concerts, workshops and gatherings from its base in Brussels.

Alongside work and everyday life, its members make time to play together. A love of music and care for their craft keep the group going.

They perform as anything from a duo to a sextet, with acoustic or amplified sound. Their repertoire brings Cueca together with cumbia, guaracha, ranchera, bolero and waltz. Everyone is invited to share in the Chilean celebration in Europe, including those hearing Cueca for the first time.

Their music has already taken them to the United Kingdom and France. Their dream is to one day bring their own compositions back to Chile.

Playing together, learning as they go.
